Unit Code Head and Signers Authorization
The unit head is the administrator of a unit who has the authority to assign a unit to an electronic office. The unit head can also assign signature authority to individuals for accounts being charged. Signature authority is maintained at either the unit level or the budget group level.
The Unit Codes and Budget Groups link on the initial HRMS Employee Authorizations page takes you to the employee's Unit Code Authorizations, beginning with the Unit Code Head and Signers view shown below.
This page lists the employee's Role for specific Unit Codes and Campuses and provides links to the remaining Unit Code/Budget Group views.
- The column titled Unit Code identifies the unit code and title of the various units for which the employee holds authorizations.
- Campus refers to the academic institutions that comprise The University of Texas System. Each has an assigned code.
- Role identifies the employee's relationship to the specific unit code.
- If the user has a large number of authorizations, a Continue button () may appear at the bottom of the screen. Click the button to access additional entries.
- Use the right-hand scroll bar as needed to view entries and the up/down arrows to reverse the order of displayed data.
- To remove an authorization, click the Request Removal link; notifications will immediately be sent to all owners of the related authorization, informing them of the action.
NOTE: Be absolutely certain that you wish to remove the authorization before clicking the link.
