*DEFINE Views
- Master views control document routing. An account can only be assigned one master view. Whenever a unit is assigned to an electronic office a master view for that unit is automatically generated. The office manager/delegates can create master views in addition to the ones which are automatically generated. This is often done so that units and/or accounts can be combined into one main master view. Master views may contain units and/or accounts.
- Administrative views control what accounts users can view and/or update. When a unit is assigned to an electronic office an administrative view for that unit is automatically generated. The office manager/delegates can create administrative views in addition to the ones which are automatically generated. Unlike master views, a unit or account can be included in more than one administrative view. Office managers/delegates control who can view and update account information by linking these views with desks, and more than one desk can utilize the same view. By adding the unit/account into another office's administrative view, the office manager/delegates can allow other offices to view and update their accounts.
- Inquiry views group accounts for reporting purposes, and are normally used in the IFM commands. Inquiry views are not automatically generated. Unlike master and administrative views, inquiry views can be created by anyone authorized for the IF8 command. An office can only get reports for accounts it is authorized for. Exception: Offices can create views for accounts that report to them.
